Step 1: Calculate Room Heat Needs
The fundamental step in radiator selection is to calculate how much heat the room needs. General coefficients for different regions of Turkey:
- Istanbul and the Marmara Region: ~100 W per m²
- Ankara and Inner Anatolia: ~110–120 W per m²
- Southern and Mediterranean: ~60–80 W per m²
- Eastern Anatolia and high altitude: ~130–150 W per m²
Example: Required heat for a 16 m² room in Istanbul = 16 × 100 = 1.600 W
Step 2: Determine the Radiator Model and the Number of Sections
The heat capacity per section varies for each EUROTERM model. For example, in the CLASSIC model, 1 section of 60 cm height produces approximately 140–175 W heat.
Formula: Number of sections = Total heat requirement ÷ Heat output of 1 section
In the above example: 1,600 ÷ 140 = 11–12 dilim
Step 3: Choose the Right Model
Model selection according to the usage area:
- Klasik Modeller (ALURAD) — Living room, bedroom, salon. Wide range of sizes, customizable color.
- Towel Radiators — Bathroom, laundry room. Heats and holds towels.
- Decorative / Vertical Radiators — Narrow and high walls, open plan kitchen-living room combinations.
- Termostatik Vanalar — Possibility of separate temperature control for each room.
Step 4: Check the Type of Installation
EUROTERM radiators are fully compatible with both kombi (bireysel) hem de central heating systems. Connection type:
- Threaded connection with PPRC pipe
- Underfloor connection with insulated PEX pipe (compatible with underfloor heating)
- Feeding systems from the wall or floor
